Cannes Lux Car Rental, the brand operating cannesluxurycarrental.com, is the controller for the personal data described on this page. We serve clients looking to hire a sports car, a luxury car, a chauffeur or a wedding car in and around Cannes, and we handle the enquiries that come with it.

• Enquiry form: your name, email, phone number if you give it, the car you are interested in if you picked one, your pick-up and drop-off dates, a flight number if you used the airport delivery form, your message, and the page you sent it from together with the site that referred you there.

• Direct contact: whatever you tell us when you email, call or message us.

• WhatsApp click: when you tap a WhatsApp button on the site, we record the page you were on, the referring site, your browser language and the message we prepared for you, just before WhatsApp opens on your device.

• Visit measurement: our own script, served from our own domain, logs pages viewed, time spent, the site that referred you, any campaign tag in the link, device type, browser, operating system, screen size, browser language and a country derived from your IP address. If you start a conversation with us on WhatsApp, that conversation runs on WhatsApp's own platform and is governed by WhatsApp's and Meta's privacy policy, not by this one. The footer also links to our pages on Google, Tripadvisor and Trustpilot; these are plain links and nothing from those platforms loads unless you click through to them.

Google Fonts, the jsDelivr content delivery network and WhatsApp/Meta are global services that may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area. Once a rental is confirmed, we ask for your driving licence and identity document details at the time you collect the car or meet our driver. This lets us check that you are entitled to drive the vehicle you booked, confirm your identity, and meet the obligations that come with renting out a car and insuring it on the road. These details are kept with the booking record for the period described below and used for no other purpose.

Enquiries that do not turn into a booking are deleted after 24 months. Confirmed booking records, including the licence and ID details taken at handover, are kept for as long as French tax and accounting rules require.

On your device, a local-storage entry simply remembers that you closed the cookie notice, and a session-storage entry remembers which car you clicked on so the enquiry form can be pre-filled; the second one disappears when you close the tab or send the form. A separate local-storage entry holds random identifiers used for visit measurement; it expires 30 days after your last visit, and you can clear it from your browser at any time. None of these entries contains your name, email or phone number.

We limit access to enquiry and booking records to the people who need them to answer you or deliver your service, and we rely on our hosting provider's infrastructure and our own internal tools to store that data. Server logs are kept only for a short period and solely to detect and investigate security issues.

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, object to processing based on our legitimate interest, or ask for a copy of the data you gave us in a portable format.
